The choice of plate type should be determined according to the actual needs of the heat exchange occasion. For the case of large flow rate and small allowable pressure drop, the plate type with small resistance should be selected, otherwise, the plate type with large resistance should be selected. According to the fluid pressure and temperature, determine whether to choose a detachable type or a brazing type. When determining the plate type, it is not advisable to choose a plate with too small a single plate area, so as to avoid too many plates, small flow velocity between plates, and low heat transfer coefficient. The selection of the process flow and flow channel of the plate heat exchanger, the process refers to a group of parallel flow channels in the direction of a medium in the plate heat exchanger, and the flow channel refers to the medium flow composed of two adjacent plates in the plate heat exchanger aisle. Generally, several flow channels are connected in parallel or in series to form different combinations of cold and hot medium channels.

  Precautions for the use of plate heat exchangers

  For a detachable plate heat exchanger, the sealing of the gasket determines the performance of the entire heat exchanger. Gaskets are easily damaged by repeated loosening and compression and need to be replaced. The gasket is embedded in the groove by mechanical or adhesive means. When using compressed asbestos gasket, anti-sticking agent must be coated on the surface to prevent sticking in the groove of the heat exchange plate. The plate heat exchanger is a pressure vessel and must be inspected regularly to check the corrosion state. If there is corrosion, it must be repaired once it is found; when the corrosion is serious and it is impossible to repair, it must be replaced with a new one. Once the plate heat exchanger is selected, it cannot be used for other purposes, otherwise it will cause serious consequences.
